Glenavy 1-4 Tir na nOg 1-4

On a very warm evening at Chapel Hill, St Joseph U12’s welcomed Tir na nOg, Randalstown. It was sure to be a tense match as Glenavy won the away match by only one point, earlier in the season.

A bigger Tir na nOg, were matched all the way by the determination and team work of St Joseph’s who went in 1-2 – 0-2 down at half time. Glenavy came out very well after the break and got a few scores without reply to go ahead in this evenly contested game.

Coming into the final few minutes with both sides missing chances both sides had opportunities to win this match but it finished 1-4 – 1-4. Well done to all the players involved but a special mention to a number of P6’s on the Glenavy team who justified their selection.
