Senior Ladies Through to Championship Final!

On Saturday afternoon at Woodlands our Senior Ladies produced a fantastic display of football, seeing off an extremely strong St. Paul’s B team, full of county experience in key positions. After a slow start the Glenavy girls picked themselves up establishing a 3 point lead at half time. 3-05 to 3-02.

The second half was played against a strong wind and the ball had to be run out of defence on numerous occasions. But a crucial goal from Grainne McLaughlin helped establish an 8 point lead going into the final few minutes. St. Paul’s were relentless in the closing stages making it 3 points between the sides but our girls held on, winning 5-09 to 4-09 as Gerard Duggan blew the final whistle.

We go onto the final on Saturday 12th September at Musgrave. Throw in at 6pm.

Good luck to all the team and management!

Our P6&P7s had a great game of football this afternoon over at Pairc Lamh Dhearg. A evenly balanced game with both sides showing excellent attitude and spirit. We can see the improvement in everyone week by week!
